What is Included in an HVAC System?

HVAC systems work by warming, cooling, and cleaning the air inside a building. HVAC stands for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning and you’ll find these systems in nearly all residential and commercial buildings. Even if you live in a moderate climate and don’t often require heating or cooling, it’s still important to have clean air circulated inside your space.

HVAC systems include basic elements, including:

    • The heating element. This is generally either a furnace or a boiler, depending on what type of HVAC system you have. Using a network of pipes throughout the property, it heats your building during the cold winter months and keeps the temperature comfortable.
    • The cooling element. The opposite of heating, HVAC systems cool a space by extracting hot air from the interior and releasing cool air back into the same room. The extracted air is carried outside through a network of vents, and air coolant is pumped into the system to lower the temperature.
    • The ventilation element. This element keeps clean, fresh air flowing throughout the space at all times. This is especially important for crowded spaces and public places.

What is the difference between HVAC and air conditioning?

When someone talks about an HVAC system, they’re referring to a system that does all three: heating, cooling, and ventilation. Air conditioners only provide the cooling element and do not heat or ventilate the air. You may have heard these two terms used interchangeably, but the reality is they’re different. Most commercial and residential spaces require a good HVAC system instead of only an air conditioner.

Just like other things in your home, your HVAC system requires regular maintenance to keep it in top working condition. The life of your HVAC system will depend on the brand, but with consistent maintenance your system will heat and cool your home for years to come.

5 Reasons Why You Should Know a Plumbing Wholesaler in NJ

Have you ever visited a NJ plumbing wholesaler for plumbing supplies, appliances, and other related items? If you haven’t, why? Plumbing wholesalers are where industry professionals go to stock up on supplies, find market-leading brand appliances, and get advice on tough jobs. Many people think that wholesale shops aren’t open to the general public, but this just isn’t true. Whether you’re a seasoned plumber or someone undertaking your first DIY project, you’ll find the best advice and the best tools for the job at a plumbing wholesaler.

Top quality plumbing supplies and brands

Wholesalers have top quality supplies and brands for all your plumbing needs. When you visit a chain retail store it may seem like you have more choices, but the truth is not all brands are created the same. At Crosstown Plumbing, we only stock the best tools, and we would know because we use them ourselves!

Fewer trips to the shop

Another benefit of wholesale shopping is you can find everything you need in one location. And if we don’t have it, we’re happy to order it for you! This saves you time and effort because you won’t need to drive around town looking for everything you need. No matter how odd the job is, we have the tools to help you get it done in one trip.

Less money spent on advertising and sales means less overheads

We don’t need to mark up our prices to cover the cost of expensive advertisements. Plumbing wholesalers mostly rely on word of mouth among industry professionals and other happy customers.

Wholesale plumbing products are more affordable

Sticking to a budget can be a challenge, even on smaller jobs. Wholesalers offer more affordable prices than big chain retail stores, and they also have wider selections and much more diverse product ranges.
